The Second Amendment Society of Texas is an anomaly. Our goal is to be an informative source friends of gun rights, civil liberties, and the Second Amendment. More than a decade of research and real-world experience has shown us the popular gun control measures don’t work: In some cases, they can’t work because they are unenforceable. In others, they fail to address the real problem. Based on their actions, strategies and tactics, gun control advocates don’t appear nearly as interested in saving lives as they are in obstructing lawful gun ownership and marginalizing gun owners.
Our mission is to make this information available to anyone so they can confront gun control activists with facts to refute their claims. We try to make our messages visually interesting to create a desire to learn more. As we say, “You’ve got questions. We’ve got answers.” If we don’t have an answer right away, we will do everything we can to find it.
What we aren’t is lobbyists or lawyers. There are a number of groups already tackling those jobs. You probably won’t find us on YouTube or doing gun reviews (as much as we’d like to). On the other hand, we do have a great deal of knowledge about firearms and their nearly thousand-year history born of an almost seven-decade fascination with guns.
