You should watch Tom Grieve’s YouTube video “Let’s Ban em All? Colorado’s Ban on Most Semiautomatic Firearms, AR15” because it contains an important message: We can’t hide behind the Second Amendment in the battle against gun control – and we can’t rely on the Supreme Court to come to our aid. Look at the district and appellate decisions since the Supreme Court rendered its opinion in New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen in 2022: It’s fairly clear lower courts, especially the appellate courts, won’t hesitate to use any justification, including outright lies, to circumscribe the Second Amendment.
The only way we can defeat the gun control juggernaut is with facts; it’s the only thing they truly fear. Their own playbook tells them to use emotions instead of “wonky” statistics.

The gun control strategy is to generate fear among the public. Images of tearful mothers and use of weaponized language, including terms such as “assault weapon” or “large-capacity magazine” play upon the public’s gullibility. Thanks to constant reinforcement from a very biased media, the gun control lies become accepted truth, just as George Orwell predicted in 1984.
We don’t need politicians who believe invoking the Second Amendment is enough: Everybody does that, including all but the most ardent gun control zealots. During the 2024 Presidential campaign, the Democrats even created an Astroturf organization of gun owners to bolster Kamala Harris’ Second Amendment credentials.
We need politicians who, when they hear the claim “Gun control saves lives” will stand up and say, “No, they don’t,” or “Guns save more lives than gun control laws.”
The real question isn’t if a state or federal representative or senator stands four-square with the Second Amendment, it’s whether they support the right of Americans to defend themselves with the weapons of their choice without government approval. That’s a right; anything else is just a privilege.
That’s where we come in. The more facts we learn and the more facts we communicate will equip us to take on the Everytowns, the Bradys, the Giffords, and all the rest. By attacking their credibility, we’re attacking their core. They don’t have anything else.
